Huckleberry

After a wonderful series of adventures here in West Glacier, our time here is coming to a close. We used today for errands, rest, and reset. Therefore, our pictures are sparse!

The weather has become much more comfortable, and we had a great night sleep with the windows open. It was a crisp start to the day with temps in the 50’s both inside and out, which is just our speed. We enjoyed leisurely coffee outside, and then a special treat, having breakfast at the KOA restaurant. This area is big on the Huckleberry (it’s everywhere). So when in Rome… We enjoyed their “Glacier Goat” which was basically a Sausage Egg McMuffin with goat cheese and a huckleberry spread. Sounds weird, but we liked it!

My wonderful breakfast date!
The surroundings here are so gorgeous, not your typical campground. They earned the “resort” in their title. If you are ever looking to visit this area, we recommend it. They have a variety of cabins for non-RVers!

Wow, am I grateful that we rented a car here. The experience would have been almost insignificant without it! We returned it today without incident, donut tire and all. On our way back, we stocked up on a few groceries as well as a little more grilling goodies for our last night.

At 10 days in, it was also time for cleaning and laundry. It doesn’t take long in our little house on wheels, but it makes a big difference! We are reset and ready for our next chapter!

We move on in the morning to create a new chapter in our story…

Rick grilled up burgers for both tonight and tomorrow, plus some wonderful potatoes. What a treat it has been to grill so much here
Just this Once…. A special wine from Napa that we brought specifically for our time here. It is special, indeed!
I am in love with Aspen trees! We walked a lot today, and I admired every one of them
We finally made it to Scoops, the cute little ice cream shop on property (had to get in a Daisy pic, too)
Rick stuck with the local favorite. Huckleberry, while I always favor a mint chocolate chip
These new bags have come in handy to store our outdoor chairs and footstools. I am grateful to be a platelet donor; I appreciate the gifts as an opportunity to talk about it and hopefully encourage others to donate, too!

The Red and White bags give a clue to where we are heading next ??!!! Until tomorrow
