It was time to say goodbye to Florida this morning and begin making our way back north. Our home for tonight and tomorrow night is near Hilton Head, South Carolina. Neither of us had been here before, and the campsite is spectacular!
We spent most of our last two days in Orlando simply relaxing. The mild temps allowed us to sit outside all day, taking the opportunity to get a lot of stitching done. I had been sorely behind on a piece I am working on as a Christmas present so the time was a welcome chance to get caught up.
Each day, however, just before dinner we went on excursions around Disney property. On Sunday, we caught a boat from our campground to the front gate of Magic Kingdom. From there, we hopped on the monorail to the Contemporary resort. We had a couple of drinks at the Outer Rim bar (same bartender as our visit in January), then looked around the shops before catching a boat back to the campground.

On Monday, another boat ride to Magic Kingdom and another monorail, this time to the Polynesian resort. As per usual, we had to have a drink at a bar in the lobby (fruity drinks here), followed by browsing the stores. We FINALLY found what we were looking for – 2 travel coffee mugs for use during our travels. Truth be told, we forgot to pack our regular ones for this trip. Now we have lovely Disney ones for use on future adventures.

For us, leaving Disney is always an interesting feeling. We are both sad to leave because we really do enjoy the atmosphere and the parks. On the other hand, it is fantastic to be getting away from the people and general craziness that is Disney. We will return again someday, just not someday too soon!
Our first stop on our northbound journey is Hilton Head, where we are tonight. Over the past year of travels in Livvy we have stayed at tons of campgrounds. We spend time researching and reading reviews. The vast majority of the time we get exactly what we expect. This campground, however, is even more amazing than we thought! Our campsite sits across a pond from the Hilton Head National Golf Course. The grounds are immaculately manicured and the concrete pads at the sites are gigantic. To make it even better, the place is nearly empty owing to the time of the year. Everything we love!!

We had thoughts of driving out onto Hilton Head island to look around, perhaps grabbing a drink and food at the Salty Dog. After siting outside a few hours tonight, we will likely just stay here and continue the relaxing we started in Orlando.
