Well the rest of our adventure in Nashville was literally rained out, with approx 1.5 inches of rain between Sat pm and our departure this am. It did, however, align well with our agenda of being lazy. Our laziness consisted of watching football, working on our needlepoint projects and eating great food. It was wonderful!

Of course, having a 25+ lb dog with a torn ACL who needs to be carried in and out of the RV in the rain wasn’t fun at all. We did a great job of watching the radar to avoid any downpours, but I’m glad that the forecast ahead looks dry. There is nothing more miserable than the wet dog smell in our tiny house on wheels.

We did bring a bunch of wonderful home-cooked favorite meals on this trip, but yesterday I decided that they had to wait. I was so disappointed that we didn’t get Nashville Hot Chicken when we were on Broadway that I was on a mission to find some great delivery. And I did! We ordered from Reds Hot Chicken, which is a highly rated food stand. It was phenomenal. I stuck with the medium spice which was PLENTY hot and Rick got the hot. Holy cow, what flavor. They had an even higher heat level and thank goodness we didn’t try that one. It was such a fantastic meal.

We woke up to sunshine today, and it was time to get back on the road. We made an all important stop to Buc-ees! Again, we have plenty of food in Livvy but some things are just too good to pass up. So we enjoyed the brisket & hot turkey sandwiches for lunch, as well as purchased a few treats for future snacking. We love the experience of shopping there. We certainly won’t stop at every one that we pass, but we probably will visit one more on the way home if you have any shopping requests for me 🙂
This evening we are in Elko GA. I thought about my parents a lot today since they made the drive to FL often. They would debate whether to go I75 or not because my dad hated driving through Atlanta. Well, it wasn’t fun but we made it through. However, we both agree that cities just aren’t our thing in Livvy. In fact, future travels work harder to avoid them. (thanks Rick!)
Our campground tonight is very clean and cute, the best one of the week. We don’t have much time to enjoy it since we will be back on the road early to make it to our BIG destination…
