Lots of Vitamin D

Yada, yada, yada… another great day! We love this place, so much so that we are thinking about coming back on a future visit out this way. We are just a little too early in the season, but would love to kayak next time.

The day started slowly and comfortably, especially since Rick continues to have some insomnia in adjusting to the altitude. So he slept in, and I stitched. Our day was so relaxing. We were able to go to the cafe for lunch, and our burgers were outstanding!

Our post-lunch adventure was a great hike up and around this gorgeous lake. It was quickly steep and so we didn’t go too far, but worked off a few of the French fries.

Then it was just time to relax in the sun. We went from layers to summer attire, even though it was only 55 degrees. Lots of vitamin D.

As the sun set, we are back to layers and enjoying the evening. We enjoyed our spicy chili outside next to our propane fire pit. Kind of glad this is the last night with super cold temps so we should have more evening outside time in the next week, as well as when we get home.

We also played our first couple of games of yahtzee! Not being a parent myself, it has been a super long time; but I was quick to remember. What was tough is the super small score sheet that we both had a hard time seeing. We are feeling our age!

Loved seeing all of the pics from the Northern Lights; what an amazing experience. I really didn’t think we would see them here, and the forecast said so, but Yosemite did post some pics so we are going to try it tonight. Fingers crossed!!

Here’s my postcard-worthy photo from this morning’s walk. The landscape makes it easy
Good morning sunshine
Relaxing in the morning – always grateful that they get along, have multiple spaces to relax and are now both seasoned travelers! (Daisy still needs some CBD when we leave her for a bit, but it’s just enough for her to relax)
Our hike post-lunch… not a bad view but I didn’t want to go all the way up
Our campground is downhill, across from the lake, and sits near a little stream
Peeta is so content here…
Love this thing as it hooks up directly to our RV’s propane tank, so quick warmth with no mess or smell

So beautiful! And everyone, including the pets looks happy and content.

The pictures can only be topped by actually being there. Ansel Adams has nothing on this picture taker!
