A whole lotta nothing

That really defined today for us. We did a bunch of nothing. I guess we did a lotta relaxing, so it wasn’t really nothing. But it was great!

We awoke to yet another beautiful, nearly cloudless day in the Sierra range. It was still chilly when we headed outside for coffee, but nothing we couldn’t handle. As long as we stayed in some sun, that is.

The campground became even more full today heading into the weekend. That certainly changed the vibe of the place. Needless to say, we are happy to NOT be visiting here on a busy summer weekend. Far too many people for our tastes.

Okay. It’s not that we do not necessarily like people (I, for one, do not). It’s that people tend to be arseholes. Case in point, the following picture:

To the untrained eye, it looks like just another camper. However, this campground is electric-only. No water or waste is provided at-site. There are water bibs around the campground for communal use – one of which is right next to our site. However, the jerk next to us decided to hook up permanently to the communal water bib. That’s not how any of this works! This, my friends, is why I do not like people.

I digress…

Over morning coffee, Karen mentioned how there is a winter weather advisory in effect for our next stop – Wawona Campground in the heart of Yosemite. There is a chance for significant snowfall, more than we wish to navigate in Livvy. Therefore, we decided to call yet another audible and forego Wawona in exchange for a campground we will be at in a few days. One that is several thousand feet lower in elevation and outside the threat of snow. Thank goodness Karen looks at the weather because she likely saved us a tremendous headache!

This is also why we make a great couple. Each of us has our strengths and we utilize them for the best possible experience! Hopefully by the time we write tomorrow, we will be nice and warm in a new location. It’s hard to believe that we have been on the road for 25 days already, with only 15 more to go. And we are still having fun!!

Too many neighbors.

I can’t decide which I like more-each picture you take is both beautiful and descriptive (especially the hose jerk) or your blogging verbiage from you both.
