The Magic of Disney

We are safely at our next magical spot… Fort Wilderness campground at Walt Disney World. This was another major destination for us, and it already exceeds our expectations. We had a sneak peak drive-through recently when we were in Orlando with Rick’s mom, and it is so great to finally be here!

In our first few hours, we have tired out Daisy with a long walk and then trekked up to the point where we caught a boat to a few different spots.

First off, the Contemporary. We both have memories here on the monorail as a kid. Oh, how I wish I could ask my parents more about our one-and-only trip to Disney; Laura and I were too young to remember much. Rick remembers the mosaic and angles of that building, too. We loved going out on the deck there to take pictures of Magic Kingdom. We haven’t planned for park visits on this trip, but are definitely working on the next time already!

The boat also took us to wilderness lodge. What an amazing spot! We want to explore more, but enjoyed a quick visit before heading back to the campground via boat. We are grateful for the opportunities to see so many things here; the weather cleared just as we arrived for a cool, crisp (and dare I say it, chilly for FL) evening. Looking forward to another great day tomorrow!

And PS… I finally added some pictures to our earlier posts, so go check those out if you have a minute!!!

Boat rides available directly from the campground!

That is why the Richie Rich couple in hubby’s blog about sold there ridiculous 6000 sq ft home to travel the country. As you travel see other wonderful aspects of this country which compells you to travel more! Did I mention I am extremely jealous yet?
