How it all started
Quite simply, it all started with a perfect match on Match.com in March of 2019! Less than a year later, and just before the pandemic really took hold, we were married. We have traveled VERY well since we met. With our retirement in August of 2023 we decided to buy an RV and travel the country.

Livvy, our traveling home
When we decided to really hit the road in retirement, we knew we did NOT want to spend time in and out of hotels every few nights. Living out of a suitcase for weeks on end really sucks. So, we full suburban and bought ourselves a home on wheels.
Livvy (named after the Eric Church song below) is a 2023 Forest River Forester 2401T. She is 26′ of pure fun! Not all of our travels will be in Livvy, but most of them will.
Why Livin’ Part of Life?
When it came time to begin our travels, several friends asked if we were going to blog about our adventures. I emphatically stated, “No way!”. Well, the fact that you’re reading this shows how well I stuck to that opinion. When it came time to naming the blog, we chose Livin’ Part of Life! And since we named our RV after the song as well, nothing else seemed to make more sense.
We are both big fans of the country singer Eric Church. As we were approaching retirement, one song in particular of his really spoke to us – Livin’ Part of Life. The lyrics really seemed to capture the laid-back attitude we were so looking forward to adopting. We would listen to the song at the end of particularly challenging work days to remind us what we were working towards. And it never failed to cheer us up!
