Teamwork – know your strengths

Teamwork means knowing your strengths and leveraging them. It also means letting your partner lead when they have the best skills for the task at hand. Most importantly, it requires communicating with each other and being ready to assist. All of this is more present in tight spaces. I am so grateful we are partnering together so well in this journey. (I say this in Day 4 but I think it will last)

Rick has handled basically everything mechanical. Learning about diesel, generators, what we need to inflate our rear dual tires and countless other things are areas I can just be supportive in. I could never, ever have started on this journey without his level of knowledge and willingness to learn. God bless google, owners forums and YouTube. I will learn more as we go.

We have each taken on roles in equipping our rig as well, and have figured out our strengths. That continues to be so much fun!

Most importantly, we are an awesome team on the road. There is a fair amount of work and “chores” to be done each time we arrive somewhere, and again before we leave. We are becoming very efficient with this, interchangeably skilled, and are a great check and balance for each other. I am seriously proud of myself/us!!

Today was the first day in Florida. We went past nearly all Cleveland Clinic facilities, and our only wish is to not need their services while we are here! Yes I miss my Clinic friends…. but I don’t miss the work. (At least not today!)

And now we are at an amazing Harvest Host, Tinez Farms near Homestead. We have the place almost completely to ourselves, with a chicken coop right next to us. We want to get up early to visit a couple of nearby national parks, so I am sure that our new friends will help us out!!
