The sound of the surf

Ahhh, the ocean. I have long had a love for the water, especially when I can hear it. Any hike with a water feature is for me. Any place with a view of the water, be it a pond, lake or creek is good with me. So last night was a great night’s sleep, and today was so calming. We are soaking up every minute alongside the Pacific Ocean.

It’s cloudy, a little windy, perhaps even a little gloomy. But I’ll take that over blistering heat any day. This campground, being right on the ocean, demonstrates the concept of space being at a premium. There is maybe a foot of space on either side of us, but so far the neighbors are ok.

Except… who needs to have music playing constantly when you could be enjoying the sound of the surf? But hey, to each his own and I’m doing my best to ignore it. They aren’t being jerks about it, I just appreciate the quiet (everywhere), especially at a place like this. We are really seeing evidence of all of the campground etiquette “what not to do’s” as we are on the road.

Daisy loves the surf too, so we took her down to the beach. She loved it. So did we. Grateful that Rick found such a perfect spot for this part of the trip

Kind of creepy, isn’t it? The fog last night made for an interesting setting after dark, over the campground entrance
Great day for stitching oceanside, and I also finished a novel. Retired life agrees with us.
Just off our campsite. He really is a kid climbing on the rocks, and I’m just like my mom worried that something bad will happen.
Beach walk = happy dog (and tired dog)
We liked it too!!

Enjoying the sights and sounds from the warm comfort of the RV. You can see how close our neighbors are to us!
